Support Trans+ Travel Fund

The Queer Emporium Foundation is key to making so much happen here at The Queer Emporium. We run events that tackle issues in our community like loneliness with Speed Friendshipping and we have helped create new connections with our Speed Dating, Book Clubs and initiatives like our Binder Exchange Program.

Launching in June 2025 will be the Trans+ Travel Fund, a fund which trans+ people in Wales getting gender-affirming surgery can apply for financial aid towards the travel costs of this surgery. There are no surgeons in Wales that provide gender-affirming surgery, meaning that people are required to travel to other cities, usually in England, multiple times for medical appointments and surgery. The travel costs of these trips have to be covered by the individual themselves and this fund aims to contribute to reducing these costs.
