30+ Sapphic Speed Dating

The Queer Emporium is closed, but our events live on! 30+ Sapphic Speed Dating is heading to the oldest LGBTQ+ venue in Wales, The Golden Cross, thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund Wales!

As definied by Yasmine Hamou, 'Sapphic is an umbrella term that includes lesbian, bisexual, and pansexual trans femmes, mascs, nonbinary folks, and cis women'! This specific event is for anyone who identifies as such and who are over 30! This event is a fantastic opportunity to meet a diverse group of people in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Our speed dating session is designed as a mixer, allowing you to chat with everyone on a one-to-one basis. We take care of all the detail swapping, so you can focus on making meaningful connections.

Doors at 18:30, event starts at 19:00!  

Please note: if you arrive late we cannot add you to the speed dating!

Accessibility Information

This event will take place in the The Golden Cross. The Golden Cross is situated on the junction between Hayes Bridge Road and Custom House Street, Cardiff. There is a taxi rank nearby, close to the Marriott Hotel on Canal Street. On Canal Street and Custom House Street, there are also multiple bus stops. Ubers and taxis can collect people from directly outside the venue. Parking is available in the John Lewis Car Park, the entrance to which is also located on Hayes Bridge Road.

Access to the venue can be gained via its entrance on Hayes Bridge Road. Access for wheelchair users can be found on Custom House Street and through the garden, where there is no step into the venue.
